When you join or renew, you get yearlong professional development benefits.
It’s budget season for many credit unions right now. Organizations are deciding what will be their most important goals for 2020—and planning how they will fund them.
This season of organizational reflection is a perfect time to set your priorities for continuing to develop as an individual professional as well. In 2020, what do you want to accomplish? What do you want to learn? How do you want to grow as a leader?
CUES is poised to help you answer these questions. For one thing, we have readied our 2020 event schedule to make browsing next year’s offerings easy, reflecting the special member pricing included in your membership. Equally important, we’ve developed a 2020 professional development planner with tips on how to reach your learning goals.
Two of the ideas for 2020 learning included in this planner—CUES Learning Portal and CUES Net—also are benefits of CUES membership. And you can use them to support your learning all year long.
CUES Learning Portal is a website where you can access content and courses in a social format. That is, you can see what others at your credit union are learning, share content you find and make content assignments to members of your team.
CUES Net is a lively web-based community forum where you and other CUES members can ask and answer questions, access shared documents and learn more about how to make the most of your CUES membership.
So, while you work on the budget for your department’s operational goals for 2020, set aside some time to reflect on the professional development needs of your team members as well as your own. See how CUES membership and events will support those needs. And then make sure that your development is included in your credit union’s final budget.
